BMW Z8 , Perfect condition

The BMW Z8 is one of the most distinctive modern BMWs ever produced. Inspired by the legendary BMW 507, it revived the idea of the classic open-top grand tourer in a modern interpretation, combining timeless proportions with an aluminium structure, sophisticated engineering and the 400 hp 4.9-litre V8 shared with the E39 M5. Only 5, 703 examples were produced between 2000 and July 2003, making the model a relatively rare sight even before taking provenance, specification and mileage into account. This particular Z8 was delivered new in Germany in 2002 and was ordered in the highly attractive combination of Black over Beige leather. Today, it has covered only approximately 14,750 kilometres. The Z8 was originally purchased new from BMW by Wolfgang Schulte, a passionate automobile enthusiast and at the time the proprietor of the Sprint petrol station on Arthur-Ladebeck-Strasse in Bielefeld. Richard Oetker was a regular customer of the station and, according to a written account provided in April 2025 by George Robson, who has been responsible for and entrusted with Oetker’s vehicle collection for approximately 30 years, Oetker first became aware of the Z8 shortly after Schulte had purchased it. Schulte proudly showed Oetker his newly acquired BMW Z8, chassis number WBAEJ110X0AF79760. Oetker was sufficiently taken by the car that he asked Schulte to contact him should he ever decide to sell it. That opportunity came later the same year. In 2002, Richard Oetker acquired the Z8 directly from its first owner, making him only the car’s second custodian. He would go on to retain the car for more than two decades, keeping it as part of his collection until 2025.
